Our Reclaimed Heritage® Douglas Fir Wide-Plank Flooring is milled from 12" thick Douglas Fir timbers reclaimed from
historic Toronto building sites. The wood came from BC's ancient forests and was used to construct projects such as
the Toronto Subway line (1950's) and the C.N.E. Coliseum (1922).
These reclaimed timbers have aged beautifully with time. Their patina is a very unique red and yellow colour, and
they contain fascinating history in their character marks (knots, checks, bolt holes, nail marks and varying grain
patterns). Because the timbers have come from trees which were centuries old, the grain pattern is very tight.
This provides a greater surface strength and durability than newly harvested Douglas Fir!
When you specify or buy FSC-certified wood flooring from Nadurra Wood Corp. you are casting your dollar-vote
for sustainable forestry and resource conservation. You also receive a high quality wood flooring product.
Now that is definitely a win-win purchase!
